Cute Animals

Good morning friends - hope this post finds you well and if you've just celebrated Easter, I hope it was a joyous one for you! I'm scheduling this post as we're heading out for the day, so I hope Mr Blogger behaves!

It being a Monday morning means there's a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs and this time we'd like to see your projects featuring your Furry Friends!

We've got another fabby sponsor for you this week ... it's Veronica and Pedro from The Paper Shelter. When you buy an image from The Paper Shelter, you're really buying a pack of goodies! Each image comes both as a line drawing so you can use your own colour scheme, or it comes pre-coloured for those makes you need in a hurry. You also get a paper design, and a composition with the coloured image on the paper for those times when you need a card like yesterday!!!!! :o)

Veronica and Pedro have very kindly given the Design Team a couple of packs to showcase this week, and here is my project for you - 2 mini cards:

I think I'll make a batch of this sized card, and then leave them in my desk drawer at work. Then, when I get into work and someone says "Don't forget it's ********* Birthday today" at least I'll have a card sat there that I can whizz out!!!!

My card recipe is as follows:

  • Card base - is Centura Pearl in Ivory which I have cut and scored to make two 10 x 10.5cm cards
  • Images - are by Veronica at The Paper Shelter and they are called The Most Adorable Raccoons and The Most Adorable Cavalier. I have used the composition for both of these, so it was just a case of resizing the design to fit my card, layering over the sentiment (as appropriate), pressing the print button and cutting the design out!
  • Sentiment - on the Raccoon card is by Paulette at Create with TLC, and this was (I think) a freebie in March 2014.
  • Pearls - from my stash

I hope you'll come over to Incy Wincy Designs and check out the other wonderful creations featuring Furry Friends by my very talented team-mates. Don't forget to then come back and show us your creations. This challenge will end on Sunday 27th April 2014.

Hope you have a great day!

Edwardian Elegance

Good morning friends and welcome to another Monday. So, the longest day has been and gone, the nights are drawing in (!) and the weather is more November than June! Apart from that, all's good here!!! Hope you and yours are well.

It's new challenge time at Incy Wincy Designs again, and this week's challenge is Tic-Tac-Toe or Bingo! Here's your board, courtesy of the lovely Nikki and the challenge is 3 in a line, any row, column or diagonal (just make sure you tell us in your post which line you're claiming please!):

As usual, we've got some great sponsors lined up for you this week.

Firstly Iva Nova Chest are offering this gorgeous "Blue" goody bag to one lucky winner. Aren't those ribbons and flowers just gorgeous?

Our second sponsors are the team at The Paper Shelter who are offering our second lucky winner a $20 Gift Certificate to their store.

The Paper Shelter team have also very kindly given the DT some of their images and papers to showcase this week, and here is my creation. I'm claiming the right hand column of Frame, Lace, Use Metal:

My card recipe is as follows:
  • Base Card -  is Centura Pearl in Ivory which I cut, scored and folded to make a 15cm square card.
  • Image on Paper - is the Composition Page from In the 20s by The Paper Shelter. This image is all pre-coloured, but this cutie does come in a black and white line drawing so you can colour her yourself or a "stand alone" coloured version so you add her to your choice of papers.
  • Frame - is the Paper Page from the In the 20s Stamp set. I've carefully cut out the green part, which left me with a swirly frame. To get a 3-D effect, I used a couple of layers of thick cardboard strips around the edge of the papers.
  • Lace - from my stash and stiched to make a rosette with a little red frosted bead in the middle from Sanctuary Beads
  • Posh Pin - is home made, using a header pin and frosted brown beads from Sanctuary Beads. The large brown and medium teal coloured beads came from a "pick & mix" pot by Hobbycraft

I hope you'll come over to Incy Wincy Designs and look at the other gorgeous creations by my team mates and Linda, who has been our fabby Guest Designer all through June. Then don't forget to come back and play Tic-Tac-Toe or Bingo with us!

Whirling Leaves

Good morning my crafty friends, and I hope you are well this morning. A very warm welcome to both Gail and Asmah who have joined us on my crafting journey ... that makes 50 followers now and I thank you all for your encouragement and support.

As it's Monday morning, it's new challenge time at at Incy Wincy Designs, and this week it's a very simple challenge for you all ... Anything Goes!

Our sponsor this week is the lovely team at The Paper Shelter, who are offering our lucky winner a $20 Gift Certificate to the store. And with so many great images and design paper packs in the store, I'm sure any crafter would have no problem in spending this voucher!

The Paper Shelter were also kind enough to provide a variety of images for the DT to use this week. As the morning have definitely started to get chilly here on the south coast of the UK I thought I would use this lovely autumnal image:

My card recipe is as follows:
  • Base Card - is Centura Pearl in Ivory, which I have cut, scored and folded to make a 15cm square card.
  • Design Paper - is the digital background from the Autumn is Coming! set by The Paper Shelter
  • Image - this gorgeous girl with the autumn leaves is the image in the Autumn is Coming! set by The Paper Shelter. In this set, you get an outline digi stamp and also this wonderfully pre-coloured image. As my coloured could not do this stamp justice, I decided to cheat and use the coloured image which I digitally super-imposed onto the set background.
  • Sentiment - is, of course, by the talented Paulette at Create with TLC and was a freebie she gave away on her blog last month. It is called Fall Spiral Poem. I printed out the label which comes with the Autumn is Coming! set in a large size, before putting it back through my printer so that the sentiment came out onto the coloured paper. I then fussy cut around the petalled shape, and then used Gold Versamark Ink to distress the edges, just to add to the autumnal feel! The Versamark Ink was a bargain ... I bought a sealed bag of what was billed as "Try a New Craft - Stamping" at my Church Fete last month. When I got home and opened the bag, I was amazed to find 2 sealed Ink cubes (gold & silver) 2 pots of embossing powder (also gold & silver) and a pack of 12 small rubber stamps (of which only 2 have been inked up). The princely sum for this bag was just 50p!!!!!!!!!!
  • Ribbon - is white satin edged organza ribbon from my stash, which I recoloured using my Spectrum Noir Pen in shade JG6 before tying it in a bow.

  • I think that maybe my printer needs an ink refill, the camera isn't playing ball or that the light was just rubbish on the day that I photographed this card ... I'm sorry, but these pictures just don't do the card justice :o(

My Incy Wincy team-mates and Saumya (this month's Guest Designer) have got plenty of further inspiration for you, so do pop over and check out their creations for Anything Goes! Don't forget to come back and share your creations with us - you've got until Sunday 14th October 2012 to link your cards up.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges, with a little help from the girls at Feline Playful:

I hope that you have a great week!
